The House is still On FIRE!

Sort of, this is the final version of the painting for the local theatre’s production of The Fall of the House of Usher, by Edgar Allen Poe. And they are auctioning it for a good cause.

‘The House is on Fire’, 24″ X 30″, acrylic on canvas, 2012.

The play has been running for two weeks, this week end is the final running of the play and then they will be auctioning the painting along with a lot of ‘Poe’ memorabilia, and some things from Vincent Prices daughter.

You can go here to see the list:

And you can email Richard, (the director), at

swordquest@hotmail.com

I haven’t seen the play yet but I’ve heard it is cursed. Several of the actors have been admitted to the psyche ward at the local hospital after the painting jumped off the wall and attacked them. The director, Richard, has actually vanished, some believe he prematurely buried himself.

So, be warned, if you want to make a bid, there is a reserve bid of $250 on the painting, you might get it for $250.50. Good luck 🙂

Playing on the tracks.

Yes, they were playing on the tracks.

When a train came along.

And as it came closer.

They decided to cross back to the river.

Then they just stood there, and made the train stop.

Everyone was fine after the drama.

An exciting end to the day.

Burning down the house.

If you read the previous post you will see I just couldn’t stop where I was. I had the knife in my hand, and this painting for the play ‘Fall of the House of Usher’ is actually a lot of fun to paint.

A friend just mentioned that there’s not much house left to burn. The theatre should come and take this off my hands before it turns into a complete inferno.
