Framed again…

I can’t afford to have everything framed exactly the same, but it appears to be necessary sometimes, uniformity maybe? Allowing the viewer to focus on the image? Don’t know, doesn’t matter, just babbling toward the show at the coffeeee shop. Don’t know and can’t afford it. So I look at garbage piles. There’s always one or two frames of standard size.

I would love to go on a rant about framing, but that would take time, and probably get offensive too, just let me say, stop expecting the artist to guess what decor your home is and find a frame to suit you, think about it, come to a show expecting to provide a frame that you like yourself, then buy the image, if that is really the way you think.

That way you don’t get to offend the artist by saying you would buy it if the frame was different, ‘Mmy waalls are taupe, I just don’t know!!! Requiring the artist to then suppress somehow, usually at risk of their own mental health, the desire to tell you to fuck off.Metropolicide iv

I can’t afford to have everything framed exactly the same as it appears to be necessary sometimes, uniformity maybe? Framed looks better, it is finished then?

If I had lots of money, I would put my 5 inch by 7 inch paintings into 5 foot by 7 foot frames. Now there’s a show, I would require a massive art gallery somewhere for this statement about this vacuous culture we have to endure!! Like I said, this could get nasty!
